VICA MILLER LITERARY SALONS

“Dear Vica, I too am a bigger fan than ever - of your salon, and of your acumen and grace and general fabulosity. It was a great night. I wish all readings, and Q & A's, were half as much fun.” — Michael Cunningham (Pulitzer prize-winning author of The Hours)

It all started in 2009

Vica Miller started her literary salons shortly after completing one of many fiction writing workshops — in Tuscany. Upon returning from Italy she was asked to read from her then novel in progress at a SoHo gallery, which prompted her to launch salons of her own. The first one took place in April of 2009 in her Manhattan apartment and has since evolved into a respected literary event hosted by major New York City galleries, including Susan Eley Fine Art, Mimi Ferzt, RYAN LEE, Carini Lang, and Fridman among others, featuring a diverse roster of writers, both published and not.

Over 150 WRITERS FEATURED

The salons provide a platform for fresh voices in literature, who are serious about the craft of writing. We don't address the hardships of getting published, nor aim to impress big name critics and sell books for published authors. We present new work from a mix of established and emerging writers, with the ultimate goal of supporting the literary arts and creating a loyal community of followers. Each salon featured four writers and was held at private galleries. Wine receptions concluded each night. After a fantastic run of 13 years, Vica closed this adventure to focus on other exciting things.
